THE PROCESS

A few steps to a useful result.

  1. 01

    Export the Pages table twice

In Search Console, open the Generative AI performance report and export its Pages table as CSV for each period. Choose the same filters and equally long date ranges.

  2. 02

    Confirm the report source

A generic Impressions header cannot distinguish AI from ordinary Web performance. Confirm that both files came from the Generative AI report before comparing.

  3. 03

    Compare the page counts

Review absolute and percentage changes. A zero baseline has no meaningful percentage increase. Download the results and investigate the pages that matter to your business.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you use the results.

Can I upload an ordinary Search Performance export?

The columns can look the same, so the tool cannot verify the report source from a CSV. Use the Generative AI performance report and confirm that source. Ordinary Web impressions are not AI impressions.

Does this use the Search Console API?

No. Both files are read and compared inside your browser. There is no Google login, account connection or upload to our server.

Does an impression gain mean a click or a sale?

No. The dedicated report measures impressions. Use other analytics and business evidence to investigate traffic or conversion changes.
